Tottenham Game

Hi!

I know what you are thinking, two vlogs in one day! Yeah, I’ve had a lot of free time lately haha. Anyways, as always, I hope you enjoy the video. The game was definitely a highlight of my trip, and even study abroad experience. Come along to see what a football game looks like from the front row!

London Calling

Hi Everyone!

So here is my London vlog! It is mainly just from the first day and a bit from the second. I have a separate vlog solely for footage of the soccer game, because I didn’t record anything after the game. So it was just easier to make two videos, then put them in one! I hope you guys enjoy these videos, because they do take a lot of work! I had about an hour worth of footage, that I had to cut down to 4 minutes! Let me know what you think and stay tuned for more!

We All Have Those Rough Weeks

I must say this week was a bit rough (10/17-10/23). On Monday, I didn’t get home from London until about 4:30 am. The backstory to this is, I had bought a plane ticket from Madrid to Sevilla, but Iberia screwed me over. They charged me and then they never sent me a reservation number. When I called, they also did not have any record of me buying a ticket. By the time I realized this, those same plane tickets were $330 dollars. Needless to say, I took the bus; the only downside is that it takes 6 hours to get from Madrid to Sevilla, so my bus didn’t get into Sevilla until 4:15 and then I had to take a cab. During this time the hole in my pants grew. Thank god the cab driver sped me back to my house (seriously bless this man). So I was able to hit the hay around 5:00.

To make matters worse, I woke up late around 8:10. To put this into perspective, I normally leave my house to get to the metro at 8:00am. So after throwing on clothes, and not eating breakfast, I sped walked to the metro and thankfully made it to class on time. Now normally, getting only 3ish hours of sleep would not be a too big of a problem, however, this glorious Monday morning I had my Conversation Spanish midterm. Thankfully, I got an A and was somehow able to keep my eyes open for the rest of the day.

I tried to take a siesta but unfortunately, it wasn’t that successful. After this failed attempt, I then had my first day of tutoring Lucia, Alejandro (Lucia’s dad), and Agustín. Thankfully Lucia was a ball of energy and helped keep me up. Alejandro also knew more English than he let on. He needs to learn it more for his job though, so I have to teach him more business English, which seems is going to be a bit challenging. After finishing up with Alejandro, I went next door to work with Agustín. I helped him with some science homework and then we played on the Wii. After 2 and half hours of tutoring, I was ready to get home, eat dinner, and go to bed.

Tuesday was a struggle yet again, because I had another midterm that day in my Intermediate Spanish class. I did not get the chance to really study for this test, so I was a bit nervous. In the end, all was well and I got a good grade. The Spanish grading system is a bit weird though and is out of 10 points. It could be simple if 7 was a C, 8 a B, and 9 an A. Instead, it is more difficult and mixed up. For example, a 5 is passing, while a 5 as a 50%, would be failing (don’t worry I did not get a 5). Anyways, I finished my classes at school and then headed back home. The rest of the day was spent studying and writing an essay that was due the next day. Since I didn’t have much time to study or write this weekend, I had a lot of work to do. Thankfully, I paid very close attention during class and am very interested in the material, so I remembered a lot of the information. Studying was more of a refresher for me.

Come Wednesday, it was the time of the exam and I was extremely nervous. It ended up going okay and I feel good about all of my work. I guess we will wait to see what grade I get! (Editing Taylor has an update for you. I got a 9.5/10!!) Wednesday classes finished up with Spanish of Culture Up Close. My teacher, Enrique, is such a character and it makes the class very enjoyable. This week was also my last week of Monday classes for this course. It now meets once a week on Wednesdays. Needless to say, I am very excited about this. I finished up the day tutoring Lucia and Agustín yet again.

Thursday was a glorious day, because I didn’t have a midterm (YAY!). Unfortunately, the school day went by painfully slow (you win some, you loose some). But thankfully, today I got to go tutor my class again. When the kids walked in from recess, they were so excited to see me. Many students came up and gave me a hug and just getting into the class took 5 minutes. This week we learned the parts of the body and played Simon Says. The students loved the game and even the teacher said he enjoyed it very much. When I was leaving, many students came up and gave me drawings and one gave me a yarn bracelet (how cute!). I left the school with the biggest smile on my face.

This weekend has been pretty relaxed. I did not have any travels planned, so I have just been hanging out at home (my favorite type of weekends). It also has been raining all day, which I love! Friday and most of Saturday I stayed home to get in some more r&r. Saturday night, a group of us went out for dinner to celebrate Riley’s 21st birthday! We went to an Italian restaurant and had some great pizza. Sunday, Maddie and I went to Starbucks in the early afternoon and busted out some homework. I then went home for lunch and after our meal Salud, Maria, Jose (Maria’s boyfriend) and I played Jenga. It was actually a lot of fun and I enjoy times like these with the family. Then I got to Facetime with Beau, Ree, Matt, my mom, and dad. It was such a treat and Beau was being especially cute.

So this post basically sums up my full week. It was off to a rough start, but ended on a great note. Next week is going to be a bit of the same, so hopefully that post will be on time! And also, hopefully I get up some vlogs from past trips. I hope you enjoyed reading about my week.

This Is What Dreams Are Made Of (A Novel by Taylor)

This weekend (10/13-10/16) I crossed the pond with some friends and headed to London, England. There are simply not enough words to describe my time in London, so I think the lyrics from the closing song of the life changing, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, sums it up perfectly, “hey now, hey now, this is what dreams are made of” (if you haven’t seen this movie, what have you been doing with you’re life…probably more interesting things but still, it’s a classic). Thursday night Kendra and I took a plane over to meet up with Maddie and Jill, who had arrived a few hours before. After our flight, and yet again mastering all of the transportation (what can I say, we are pros), we arrived at our Airbnb and made our way into the flat. Now, the room was perfect, however the rest of the house not so much, but since we hardly spent any time at the flat it didn’t really matter too much to us. We settled in and then Facetimed Maddie and Jill to plan the madness that was Friday.

Now for those of you that don’t know, in high school I was a little bit kinda maybe obsessed with YouTube, especially the British youtubers. To do this day (though not as obsessed) I still watch many of their videos. Now, because of this, and lots of research, I was able to find a lot of places to eat and how we could plan out the day. I kinda felt like I had already been to London, because I had seen it so many times in their videos. So honestly being able to go to this city was a dream come true, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint.

Maddie had created a list of things she wanted to see, while I had a potential planned schedule set up for the day (I am a bit anal I know. Thanks Mom), already with what we could do for breakfast straight to dessert. After, a bit of tweaking to make our plan perfect, we were prepared to see all of London in 1 day. Jill however, signed up to go on the Harry Potter tour, so we were going to meet up with her later for lunch, then see the big sights in the afternoon.

Friday morning started off bright and early as Kendra and I made our way to breakfast in Marylebone. We ate at a cafe called Coco Momo and had the best avocado on toast dish. Maddie met us there a bit later and we all relished at the fact of having avocado again (we’ve been deprived in Spain). After scarfing down our food, we headed out to the famous Oxford and Regent streets. These streets are known for their shopping, so we walked around and popped into some stores that we had heard of before (Mark & Spencer’s, & other stories, Next, and Boots just to name a few). I also went to buy a Tottenham Hotspurs (my favorite soccer team) shirt for the game we were going to on Saturday! Next, we made our way to Covent Garden, Leicester Square (popular for movie premiers), and Trafalgar Square. Everything was gorgeous and right out of a movie. I loved the style of the streets, flats, as well as the general atmosphere of the city (not to mention the weather. The cold was amazing).

After shopping till we dropped (just kidding we didn’t really buy anything, except for my shirt and some souvenirs), we headed to St. Paul’s Cathedral, the second largest cathedral in the world. We got to do our own walk around tour, which was nice because we didn’t have to take 3 hours (plus we were hungry and hangry Taylor was coming). We did a highlight tour and let me tell you, this Cathedral was stunning. The architecture and history behind everything from the dome, the choir seating, to the crypt below was so interesting to learn about. After seeing the sights within the Cathedral, it was time to make our way to see the sights above. We climbed steps (lots of awkward height steps) to the whispering room, and got a view of the center of the cathedral from above. Then we climbed more steps to see the Gallery room, which was views of the city but surrounded by a type of barrier, which blocked the sights a bit. Finally, we climbed up even more steps to the very top of the dome to see clearly the city below. I am not really scared of heights and let me tell you my legs were wobbly. We (quickly) took pictures, and allowed for some time to catch our breath (it was a lot of steps okay) before we made the trek back down to solid ground.

As soon as we stepped foot back on the Cathedral floor, the hunger kicked in. Kendra, Maddie and I, headed over to Borough market where we met up with Jill, who had finished her HP tour, for lunch. Borough market is honestly a dream. It’s filled with fresh produce, different olives and cheeses, fish and lots of stands to buy food. After looking around we all settled on Wokit. An “Asian fusion” restaurant that basically had make your own bowls. I ordered, egg noodle, beef, the cabbage mixture, and bamboo shoots with teriyaki sauce. I was in heaven. This meal was honestly so good and I was so happy to eat it all. After enjoying our lunch, we all wanted to get drinks. Jill and Kendra settled on some fruit juice, while Maddie and I wanted to try the Mulled wine. One of the youtubers I watch always gets this drink around Christmas time and I figured this was my only chance to try it. Coming from a big crockpot, the drink was steaming. It’s a mixture of wine, cinnamon sticks, and orange. It was very good, but I could definitely not finish it all!

We then headed to Costa Coffee, so I could charge my phone. After looking up directions all morning, it was dying, and dying fast. After juicing up my phone, we made our way to our next destination, Harrods (It was really the London Bridge, but I forgot about that and don’t feel like writing more so just enjoy the pictures)! Harrods is basically a huge department store. Think of all the department stores in the US, but on steroids. We didn’t have much time to walk around the store, so we headed for the best section in the store, the Christmas Wonderland. I was in heaven as Christmas is my favorite time of year/holiday and I love decorating our house with Christmas goodies. We looked around at all of the decorations and I got to see this year’s Harrods bear, which is a whopping 1200 pounds (aka $1,460). After looking around we rushed to see the Big Ben and get pictures before the sun went down. It was a bit hectic, but we made it in time and got a ton of pictures! It was so cool to be able to see it in person and stand next to the famous red telephone booths (yes, we are basic).

We then made our way to the London Eye. This is something I had never really known if I wanted to do. It looks cool, but I really don’t like Ferris wheels and this is the world’s biggest Ferris wheel (queue nerves). We got a fast pass for 10 extra pounds, which was definitely the way to go. We had no wait, and got in a pod right away. It took 40 or so minutes to go around. It was beautiful to see all the sights at night, even though it didn’t provide for good pictures.

Arriving back to the ground, it was finally dinnertime! London/England in general is famous for its fish and chips. So for dinner we went to Poppies, which claims to have the best fish n chips. The meal was amazing and I loved dipping my fries in the gravy (seriously a must try)! What comes after dinner? Dessert of course! I had found a place on Pinterest that I was dying to go to, but online it said it closed 10. In the end, it neither closed at 10’oclock, nor was the actual location the same as it said on Google. We ended up finding it in an area in Shoreditch with a bunch of food booths. If I had more time, I would have loved to get dinner there one night! It looked like so much fun and had great atmosphere. However, the dessert place was called Nosteagia. It was a bubble waffle cone and you could add different toppings to it. I got the strawberry cone, with ice cream and m&m’s. It was amazing and I wish I could eat one right now. We sat down on a bench to eat our delicious treats, when I looked down at the floor. In my peripheral vision, I saw some skin on my leg and my eyes shot to my crotch to find a massive hole. After walking 16 miles this day, my pants were not strong enough to last and tore. Now normally this would be all fine and dandy, however, I was trying to be conservative when I packed, so these were the only pants I brought. Basically, I had to spend the next three days trying to not flash my inner thigh or stretch too much as I did not want to hole to grow (flash forward…it did grow and it was not fun). After dessert we headed home in a sleek black cab.

Now for day 2! (I know this is going to be a novel. We just did so much stuff day 1). Day 2 was solely devoted to the best day of my life (aka going to a Tottenham football (soccer) game). We woke up early, yet again, and made our way to the famous Breakfast Club for breakfast. Here, I got my first full English breakfast. Although I didn’t try the mushroom and wasn’t a huge fan of the black pudding, I finished everything else on my plate. Any time I get to have eggs for breakfast, and not dinner, is a good day. We took our time at breakfast and then headed to a store called Primark. I had heard lots about this store and it’s low prices and let me tell you they were not kidding. I got a long sleeve Tshirt to wear under my Tottenham shirt for the game just for 3.5 pounds! I also tried to buy pants, but sizes are whack in England and they didn’t have a size that fit me, so basically I was stuck with the hole in my pants (that was a fun adventure). After Primark, we had more time before the bus left at 10:30, so we headed to Buckingham Palace. It was a bit underwhelming, but still beautiful. There wasn’t a changing of the guard until Sunday; however, we did see two guards switch positions, so I was a bit confused because to me it was a changing of a guard. Even though it wasn’t the actual thing, I still got to see a small version of the process. Unfortunately, no sightings of the Queen were made and I did not meet Prince Harry (Sorry Lala). Saying our goodbyes to the royal family, we made our way to Victoria Station. Jill, Kendra and I parted ways from Maddie; as she was going to visit some friends instead of go to the game, and the rest of us headed to the bus.

A three-hour bus ride through the English countryside, we made it to Birmingham, the second largest city in England. We went to Mark and Spencer’s to get some lunch to eat before we headed to West Brom. I got a sandwich and an amazing fruit juice. I didn’t get a picture of it because I honestly chugged it down. Walking to the stadium after the 6-minute train, I started to get butterflies. I could not believe (and still can’t) that I was actually going to a Tottenham game.

We walked into the stadium and soon realized we were actually in the West Brom section. I didn’t mind though because we had front row seats for $33. However, it did cause some issues later in the game. Getting to our seats, I just about crapped myself because literally we were feet away from the pitch (fancy word for soccer field) and standing there was Ben Davies (the hunk of all hunks). It was such a fun experience to be sitting so close to my favorite team, as well as being at an English football game. I did expect to it be a bit rowdier, but it was actually pretty calm. The whole game the Tottenham fans were singing and going crazy in their section, but the West Brom fans were very subdued and really didn’t make much noise besides a clap here and there.

The first half went by way to quickly and I never wanted this game to end. I took some pictures by the field and that’s when shit hit the fan. As I was taking pictures a security guard told me I couldn’t stand there, so I said okay and sat down. Then he had the nerve to come back to me and tell me to cover my shirt! Like, I am sorry that a Tottenham fan got amazing tickets. Nowhere on the site said that we weren’t allowed to purchase these or venture out of the small section that West Brom had corned the Spurs fans into. So sucking up my pride, I put on my jacket for the rest of the game. It was getting cold anyways so whatever.

The game started going a bit down hill when Chadli (former Tottenham player) scored for West Brom. The crowd went crazy and now the West Brom fans started singing in cheering. However, close to the 80th minute, the homie Dele Alli scored an equalizer. I knew I should not cheer loudly, because I did not want my head chopped off. I just clapped enthusiastically when another security guard looked me in the eye and said calm down. Like excuse me, I am just clapping, not standing up screaming my head off, swinging my jacket in the air, telling all the West Brom fans how they suck, none of that. After the security guard totally harshed my mellow, the game came to an end. It was a bit disappointing that we didn’t win, but I am happy that we at least didn’t loose. Unfortunately the West Brom goalie was on fire that day.

We left the stadium and had some difficulties finding the train back, but because of this we ended up being able to see the players load their bus! Let me tell you, that bus was decked out. I wanted to go home with them. After seeing the boys for the last time up close, we headed back to Birmingham and then London.

Arriving back in London, we were all starving, so we headed to the famous Nandos. This is a place famous for its perri perri chicken. Niall from One Direction also loves it there, so after my obsession with them as well (what can I say I love the Brits and Irish), I was excited to try the food. I got chicken baked in the lemon and herb sauce with a side of chips (that’s American for fries), and corn on the cob (seriously been craving this). We had yet another amazing meal, and Maddie even met up with us as we were finishing. We were able to hangout and talk about our days. After catching up, Kendra and I said goodbye to Maddie and Jill, as they had an earlier flight and didn’t have time to do more exploring on Sunday.

Our plans for Sunday were dampened when we woke up to rain. As much as I love the rain, I was not down to walk all through London in it and then get on a plane with wet clothes to top off the hole in my pants. We were planning on getting up early and walking around Hyde Park and see Kensington Palace. Instead, we decided to sleep in some more (didn’t take much convincing) and then head out to breakfast. We went to a café called Farm Girl in Portobello. I had seen photos of this beautiful looking rose coffee, so obviously it was a must do.

The café was, to no surprise, a cute and quaint place. Then again, every café in London was. I got a cappuccino and a delicious yogurt and granola bowl (a dish I didn’t even know I missed) and later, a rose latte. Kendra went for the go-to avocado on toast with a lavender latte. After we ate and were paying the bill, I looked up in and what do you know, three of my favorite youtubers (Jim, Tanya, and Niomi) walked in the door. Fate? No, not really. We had planned on going here on Sunday from the start, but Saturday night, one of them had posted they were going to have breakfast there, so it wasn’t much of a surprise.

I ended up paying for their bill (okay, I am still a bit obsessed), and as I was leaving I said hello and them know that I loved their videos. They all said thank you and when I left, the waiter asked if he could tell them I paid for their food and I said yes. Kendra and I walked out and through the window I saw the waiter tell them. Niomi was completely shocked and her mouth fell wide open, as she said no way. Jim and Tanya both looked surprise as well. Jim looked out the window and saw me; he had a big smile on his face and waved. I returned the gesture and then Kendra and I continued walking, and went on our way.

That basically sums up our trip to London! After breakfast we just headed to the airport, and since we got there early I did homework (gotta fit that “study” into study abroad). So, I hope you enjoyed this novel of mine. We just did so much and I loved every bit of it, I couldn’t leave much out! A vlog will hopefully (*fingers crossed*), be coming soon! The next couple weeks I am going to be in Sevilla, so hopefully more vlogs from my past trips will be coming as well.

I hope you enjoyed this blog as much as I loved experiencing it! London is my new favorite city and I already cannot wait to return. I hope you are all doing well and are enjoying your October. 2 more months and I will be home!

Love always,

Taylor Rose

When It Rains It Pours

This week (10/10-10/12) was a short week because I didn’t have class on Wednesday (go Spanish holidays!) and Thursday I left for London. On Monday, I ended up having a class field trip. In my History of Spain class, we have to go on a couple field trips around Sevilla, due to our historic location. It was actually a very interesting walk. My professor, Carlos, is very knowledgeable about all of Sevillian history, and I learned so much from the walk. I am actually excited to go on the next tour! This class is definitely one of my most difficult courses at UPO, but it is also one I enjoy the most.

Because I had the tour on Monday, I moved my tutoring of Agustín to Tuesday and Wednesday, so I didn’t miss a session with him. Tuesday, I came more prepared and we learned the parts of the body and items within his room. Again, we had a great session! His mom told me that he was very happy with me and excited for whenever I come.

Since I did not have class on Wednesday, I laid low and just hung out at home. It was a rainy day, so I had an excuse to stay at home, which was nice. That night that I had to tutor Agustín, and I was also meeting their neighbor, as they wanted their 4 year old daughter to take English lessons. Both the lesson, and the meeting went well, and it turns out that the dad wants to have lessons once a week as well. I definitely have a full plate for the rest of my time here. I took the bus back home and as I was walk back it started pouring again. Sevillian rain is honestly like a mini monsoon that comes through for 45 minutes. I was stuck under an overhead about 15 minutes from my house. After waiting it out a bit, I realized that the rain would not settle down, so I had to make a run for it. Sevilla does not have the best irrigation system, and certainly is not prepared for this much rain this quickly. So the whole way home, I was basically walking in puddles and my shoes were soaking wet. I finally made it home, and changed into dry clothes as quickly as possible.

Then came Thursday, and this was the first day of my volunteering. In my Spanish Culture Up Close class, we are required to do 15 hours of community service. I picked teaching English to a 2nd grade class. The school is very close to UPO (the university I go to), so it is easy getting there. Once I arrived to the school, I had to wait for the kids to get out of recess. Soon enough they were following behind Jonás, their teacher, and heading into the class. They looked at me wide-eyed and shouted hi to me as they walked in. I introduced myself and then Jonás told the class to ask me questions. Instead of asking questions, they all went around and introduced themselves. They were all so cute and excited to say their name and introduce themselves in English. After learning (but not remembering) everyone’s names, I went through and showed them on a map of where Santa Barbara and Santa Clara are. They were in shock that I lived by the beach and loved looking at pictures of my family and friends back home. The kids were a bit crazy, but I loved being able to work with them and they were all so sad when it was time for me to leave. I went home and packed up for my trip and then Kendra and I were on our way to London. Hope you enjoyed catching up with a past week of mine.

You Only Lagos Once… And Now I Know Why

This weekend (10/7-10/9) my friends and I went to Lagos with a company called Discover Excursions. On Friday, we met at the Portuguese Consulate, loaded a bus, and began our almost 4 hour bus ride to Spain’s neighboring country. Some had more fun than others on the bus ride, but soon we were walking up to our hotel, Iberlagos. Of course, our room wasn’t ready yet (this would happen to me), so Maddie, Jill, Kendra and I dropped off our stuff in our friends’ room, changed and then headed to the beach for a kayaking excursion! Originally, I wasn’t going to go on the kayak tour, but after some persuasion, I decided to go, and I am so happy I did. Kendra and I were in a kayak together and I must say we dominated. People kept hitting and grabbing onto our kayak, so we got annoyed and then super competitive. We stayed at the front of the pack the entire time and even made friends with our tour guide. We didn’t know his name, so we jokingly ended up calling him “boyfriend” (only behind his back). We got to go inside of the caves along the ocean during our 4 km ride and then went to a beach on the way back. The current at this small beach was so strong. Multiple times people got knocked over in the water and when we were getting out of our kayaks, another persons kayak came and hit my elbow (accident prone Taylor, at it again. P.S. it still hurts *update not anymore). Everyone got to swim around a bit and after a quick 20 minutes, it was time to go. We then almost died (okay a bit dramatic) when we had to get in our kayaks and go back into the ocean. Kendra and I were getting into our kayak when a huge wave started coming towards us. Our guide told us to hurry so we jumped in and then he pushed us into the wave. Basically, “boyfriend” saved our lives.

Kendra and I dominating kayaking.

After the tour, the four of us found a beach (not that hard in Lagos), and hung out for a bit. Here we met Kiwi Karl, a guy from New Zealand who sold everything he owned and is now backpacking Europe, doing jobs such as, promoting a club, to make money (What a catch right?). He finally left and we continued to soak up some sun, then headed back to our lovely abode (jokes, it was kinda a dump) and changed for dinner.

img_9513

We went to a burger place and I had one of the best burgers ever (Could never beat the Habit or In n 0ut though). It had pineapple in it, which was just a great touch. That night, we then went to a couple bars with the company and had some drinks. Nothing too crazy, and it honestly wasn’t the greatest times of our lives, so we headed home to gear up for the next day.

img_9518

Saturday was a bit crazy. We didn’t really have breakfast, so we headed to our Sangria (more like vodka and juice) Tour on a near empty stomach (not the beeesssttt idea). Our group loaded onto the boat and headed out into the ocean. It was fun, because we got to take a boat tour into the caves we went into the day before. This time, I was able to bring my phone so I could get some pictures. The view was beautiful as the anchor was put down in the middle of the sea. From here, we could jump off the bow of the boat. I jumped off of it a few times and had a blast. The water was perfect as we swam around. Before we knew it, we headed back to land and spent some time at a beach close to the harbor (shout out to my mom again for talking to me early in the morning).

The rest of the afternoon was spent taking a nap basically. Just before sunset though, we headed to Cabo de San Vicente, otherwise known as the end of the world. Back in the day, this was thought to be well, the end of the world, as when the sun sets it disappears straight down into the horizon. This location also has a lighthouse that used to be a beacon as defense for this area of the coast. However, Francis Drake destroyed the original fortress and lighthouse in 1578. The view here was beautiful as the sun dipped lower and lower. However beautiful the views though, it was unbelievably windy and the wind would honestly push you in other directions. Needless to say, I stayed away from the edge because it was creepy. We headed back and took another nap. Before we knew it, it was midnight and none of us had eaten dinner yet. Maddie, Jill, Kendra and I then headed out to a kabob place, as it was the only open restaurant. Thankfully they served other things, and I got a pineapple pizza and it was actually delicious (no Seniore’s, but still good). After dinner, we went home and hit the hay, yet again.

Sunday, we got up and cleaned the mini apartment and headed out for breakfast. We went to a super small breakfast place but it was delicious. I ate way too much food but after hardly eating all of Saturday, it hit the spot. The rest of Sunday we explored more of the small city of Lagos. We went into shops throughout the town and looked at stands along the beach. We then headed back towards our hotel, as that was where we would be meeting to leave. There is one of the best beaches in Lagos just on the other side of where we were staying so we made our way down. From here we could even see the titanic. This rock formation is made up of rocks where, one resembles a boat, and the other an iceberg. After spending some time on the sand we decided to head back up and layout by the pool as it was not as windy up there and also closer to our meeting point. Pretty soon, it was time to go, and we all headed back on the bus to cross the board back into Spain.

In all, I did have a great time on my Lagos trip. It is something that I will always remember and glad I got to experience it with so many new and old friends. I would also like to give a huge shout out to my brother Matt who paid for this trip as my birthday present. You are the best bro.
